Seiko Kissa & Yoshoku

Stepping into “Seiko Kissa and Yoshoku” feels like travelling back to the Shōwa era of Japan. The rich culture and nostalgic decor provide a sense of comfort and longing. The interior design, crafted by Japanese designer Akira Gondo, skilfully blends traditional and modern elements, creating a unique yet comfortable space. We had pasta, sandwiches and pork chop interpreted in European style cuisine. Food and service both fine. Pricing a little bit more expensive than the other restaurant offering similar kind of food.

The food is delicious and in authentic japanese-western style. The menu changes once in a while. It is my 2nd visit and the experiences are very satisfying. The main courses are of a relatively large portion. Pudding is a must-try! Please save room for this outstanding dessert.

Best pudding I’ve ever tasted. It’s a brand new Showa style cafe, it’s beautifully decorated inside. Downside is their coffee is pretty terrible, extremely strong and bitter but their pudding is out of this world. I will return to buy more pudding to take home.

Nice place, good lunch set choices, I hope I can add money to change the set drink though~ Had sashimi salad and Syphon coffee Both are very good.

Seiko Kissa & Yoshoku transports you to the Studio Ghibli world— the interiors were so aesthetic, perfect for photos on Instagram. Definitely opt for the dessert as the meals were quite overpriced and tasted like an average meal. Still pretty good as you’re mainly paying for the vibes. Don’t miss out on the flan tho as it was the smoothest most custardy dessert I’ve ever had. Might be the best flan in my honest opinion.

When my friends and I visited Hong Kong this became our go to dinner spot every night. The waiters Jeremy and Vincent always were very kind and welcoming and even the chef would come out and greet us when she heard that we had arrived. The ambience and decor of the restaurant is just perfect for a group of friends who need dinner after a long night or before heading out for a long night. The food was spectacular and the dessert was amazing! Definitely a place I will visit again when I visit Hong Kong! Thank you for such welcoming service!

Located at the Hopewell Shopping Mall, the latest new shopping mall in Wanchai next to the landmark Hopewell Centre, the decor and tableware brought the typical Japanese cafe from Tokyo in front of your eyes ! I ordered a set lunch and sat on the bar table. The tomato salad is a must-try. The scallop pasta in Japanese style is up to standard. Unlike the other comments, I found the coffe fresh and well.

I was pleasantly surprised by this spot, especially for a quiet Tuesday evening. Though we walked straight in, we were initially given a small table; however, the staff kindly pushed a second one over once they saw our spread of plates. The pork chop was the standout—perfectly cooked and paired with a delicious sauce. The steak cubes were decent, though the presentation felt a bit lackluster compared to the other dishes. For dessert, both the black sesame cheesecake and the strawberry cake were hits. It’s clear this single-location gem is putting in a lot of effort, even offering a rewards program. A 3.3-star rating feels unfairly low IMO. I also appreciated the small touches, like authentic Sapporo imported from Japan, even if the price point makes it a niche choice. Looking forward to returning!
